Alinah Azadeh is an artist using processes of public ritual, dialogue, gift and exchange. She uses live encounters, sculpture, textile and storytelling to work with audiences from an extreme range of social and cultural backgrounds on often sensitive and powerful life themes. Commissions over the last decade include large - scale installations such as The Bibliomancer’s Dream (2009-10)  for The Royal Festival Hall, South Bank Centre, The Gifts (2010), for Bristol Museum and Art Gallery  and Chasing Mirrors: Portraits of the Unseen (2010-11) for The National Portrait Gallery, London. She is currently developing an outdoor /online project called Burning the Books, which explores the personal and social impact of debt on the human psyche.
